New Orleans is the best place in the USA for creative professionals, beating 175 other major cities.
Personal finance site SmartAsset analyzed the most favorable cities for creative professionals in the US. Recognizing more than 28 professions — including architect, multimedia artist, choreographer, and painter — they evaluated the affordability and creative culture in 176 of the largest cities in the country, providing every city with a score for either category.
“The birthplace of jazz, New Orleans has long been considered one of the country’s best cities for musicians seeking inspiration and an audience,” says SmartAsset. “While it remains one of the world’s top music cities, it has emerged as a great place for all kinds of creatives.”
