LA #2 for Infrastructure Investment
Economic development publication Site Selection has ranked Louisiana #2 in the USA for states “where major employers and major populations both have a strong chance of being served by continuing infrastructure investment.” In its second annual Global Groundwork Index rankings, Site Selection collaborated with infrastructure advisory firm CG/LA in Washington, D.C., to “offer a snapshot of which territories are seeing concurrent strong investment trends in infrastructure projects and corporate end-user facility projects.”
Examples of such investment in Louisiana include the $50 billion Coastal Master Plan to protect the state’s coast, and the $126M I-10 flyover to the new $1B New Orleans International Airport terminal.
