Northshore Regional Airport
Hammond Northshore Regional Airport in Tangipahoa Parish is the largest general aviation airport on the northern shore of Lake Pontchartrain, and Home to the Blackhawk Helicopters. It is ideally located off of Interstates 55 and 12, just 55 miles north of New Orleans, 45 miles east of Baton Rouge, and 90 miles west of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. With dual lighted runways, more than 900-acre airfield, and a new air traffic control tower completed in 2014, Hammond Northshore Regional Airport is fully equipped to handle large aircraft and is open to general, corporate, and military aircraft. It currently has over 90 based aircraft with room for 195 single engine, light twin, and corporate aircraft at competitive prices. Also located on the airfield is unimproved land for development by corporate or private aviation individuals.
