Getting Involved with GNO, Inc.

In addition to the Board of Directors and NextGen Council, GNO, Inc. offers many ways to get involved in standing committees as well as task forces. Opportunities for involvement are ever-evolving to meet the needs of our region and business environment. In order to serve on a GNO, Inc. committee, your company must be an Investor.

Public Policy Committee

The Public Policy Committee leads GNO, Inc. in efforts to collaborate with business leaders from across the region to serve as a unified voice in Baton Rouge and Washington, D.C. that advocates for legislative policies that lower costs, encourage investment, and reduce risk. SoLA Super Region Committee (SoLA)

SoLA is a partnership of GNO, Inc., Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC), and the Southeast Louisiana Economic Council to foster cooperation for mutual economic benefit between the three regions. The committee works on issues including higher education, infrastructure, and state government reform. More information on SoLA may be found here.

Coalition for Coastal Resilience & Economy (CCRE)

Working to restore Louisiana’s wetlands, coastal regions, rivers, and deltas.

CCRE is a neutral, nonpartisan group of business leaders that creates an informed, educated voice of advocacy for sustainable coastal restoration efforts in Louisiana’s wetlands, coastal, river, and delta. A key focus of CCRE is researching and advocating for financing solutions that will support full implementation of the state’s Coastal Master Plan. More information about CCRE may be found here.

Coalition for Sustainable Flood Insurance (CSFI)

CSFI works to ensure that flood insurance offered through the National Flood Insurance Program is affordable for primary residential and commercial properties and that the program is run in an efficient, fiscally sound manner. More information about CSFI may be found here and on the CSFI website.

GNOwind Alliance

The GNOwind Alliance consists of private and public stakeholders who are committed to capturing the maximum economic impact from the burgeoning U.S. offshore wind industry for coastal Louisiana.
