WWII Museum Ranked #3 in USA, #8 in World

TripAdvisor, the travel planning and booking site, has just announced the winners of its Travelers’ Choice awards for museums. The National WWII Museum, in New Orleans, was ranked #3 in the U.S., and #8 in the World. Says TripAdvisor about the WWII Museum: “A blend of impressive narrative and detail, featuring profound exhibits, multimedia experiences and a collection of artifacts and first-person oral histories to take visitors inside the story of the Second World War.” New Orleans is the home of Andrew Higgins, designer of the “Higgins Boat,” which was used by the Allied forces on D-Day. General Dwight Eisenhower said Higgins “is the man who won the war for us.”
