For the third year in a row, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) has been named one of the top airports in North America, in a widely watched customer satisfaction survey that rates airports on wait times, service, cleanliness and other factors.  New Orleans airport was named one of three top-performing airports in the category of airports that handle 5 million to 15 million passengers annually, according to the survey.

New Orleans, which opened a new $1.3 billion terminal in late 2019, was among 15 airports on the continent that made it into the top 20% for overall customer satisfaction, according to the latest survey by Airports Council International, a Canada-based non-profit trade body for international airports.

The poll was conducted during the course of last year, with more than 595,000 surveys collected from 400 airports in 95 countries, according to ACI.  The survey asks customers views on 34 different aspects of the airports, including wait times, value for money of parking facilities, helpfulness of airport staff, business and executive lounges, restroom cleanliness, terminal cleanliness, parking facilities, Wi-Fi access, ambience of the airport and more.
