PowerMoves.NOLA Takes Minority Startup Model Nationwide

Continuing to lead in “inclusive innovation,” New Orleans hosted the second installment of PowerMoves.NOLA earlier this month.  PowerMoves is an initiative that grew out of the New Orleans Startup Fund to find and grow minority entrepreneurs, in the New Orleans region and beyond.  Over 40 entrepreneurs of color from around the nation participated in this year’s event, and over the past year PowerMoves alums have secured over $13 million dollars in capital, including investment from AOL founder Steve Case.  PowerMoves has now gone national, with Detroit hosting an event this year, and multiple cities in discussions to hold their own PowerMoves events in the future.  You can read more about PowerMoves and inclusive innovation in:
