Based on a 10-year, nationwide survey of over 76,500 adults, Greater New Orleans is the #9 “Most Generous” market in America, with 86% of the population reporting that they donated money to charities and non-profits. The survey, conducted by The Barna Group, concluded that the Top 10 Most Generous Cities in America are:

1. El Paso, TX – 92%
2. Lexington, KY – 91%
3. Memphis, TN – 90%
4. Charleston-Huntington, WV – 90%
5. Milwaukee, WC – 89%
6. Cincinnati, OH – 88%
7. Des Moines, IA – 87%
8. Columbus, OH – 86%
9. New Orleans, LA – 86%
10. Norfolk, VA – 86%
