Louisiana #1 State for Software Engineers

Computer Science Online has named Louisiana #1 in the USA for the Best Opportunities for Software Engineers, with over 80% growth expected by 2022. Louisiana is followed by Colorado, Utah, Virginia, Montana and Washington, DC. Software developers have a background in programming skills and languages such as C#, Microsoft .NET and SQL. Responsibilities may include coding and debugging programs, conducting quality assurance tests and analyzing business requirements for software.

London-based Testronic was the latest software company to open in the burgeoning GNO tech scene, with a 150-person game testing facility in New Orleans. In addition, according to updated data from Emsi, in 2019 Greater New Orleans is #3 for women and #5 for African Americans holding tech jobs (top 50 largest MSAs), on a percentage basis.
