GNO, Inc. Sunday Night Highlight – New Orleans Wins on Living

Life is good in New Orleans when the Saints are winning, and a number of other recent rankings highlight the special quality of life in the New Orleans region:

• Work/Life Balance – Last week Travel & Leisure wrote that the internet believes that New Orleans has the Best Work/Life Balance in America.  T&L says that New Orleans is the best place to “work and still enjoy life.”
• Food – Earlier this year, Trip Advisor named New Orleans the No. 1 Food Destination in the U.S..  They said, ““With its famed culinary scene, New Orleans has held onto its title for number one Food Destination in the U.S. for a second year in a row.”
• Walkability – AllClear recently ranked New Orleans as The Most Walkable City in the US, stating:  “New Orleans’ pedestrian-friendly French Quarter and Central Business District span two miles and are packed with more than 500 eateries and nearly 100 attractions.”
• Transit – New Geography writes that New Orleans is Top Five in the US for Auto/Transit Ratio – that is, jobs reachable by public transportation.  They say that, “somewhat surprisingly,” New Orleans beats out Philadelphia and Boston.
