GNO, Inc. Sunday Night Highlight – 2025 Annual Meeting:  “In the Zone”

This past Friday, GNO, Inc. and 1,200 business and civic leaders came together for the 2025Annual Luncheon.

The theme this year was “In the Zone,” wherein we celebrated what we can accomplish together if we stay “In the Zone”: the zone of partnership, the zone of excellence, and the zone of winning.

Highlights of the presentation included:

• 2024 Year in Review
  • GNO, Inc. recognized as a “Top Economic Development Organization in America”
  • A remarkable reduction in crime, 2 ½ times greater than the US average
  • 13 business development announcements from across the region, worth over $2B in investment and over 1,700 new and retained jobs
  • The introduction of “Louisiana Future Energy” at the largest energy conference in North America
  • State and federal policy wins to help government move faster and to protect vital programs; a focus in 2025 on developing national all-perils (“Nat Cat”) property insurance
  • Greater New Orleans ranked #1 in the USA for Students & College grads by Forbes
• A congratulatory message from Governor Jeff Landry
• A special Video Presentation: “In the Zone”
• Super Bowl LIX – “We Built this City”
  • Over 550 projects completed
  • Coordination of over 25 city, state, and other organizations
  • Years of infrastructure work in nine months
  • Over 21 new, permanent art installations
  • The Louisiana NOW Pavillion
  • “The city never looked so beautiful, its landmarks so majestic.  Downtown blazed like a Pixar movie brought to Life.” – Jeff Duncan

The presentation ended on the optimistic note that GNO, Inc. will continue to work together with the city and state on infrastructure coordination and execution.
