A Historic 2017 – Thank You

Thanks to your support, 2017 was a historic year for GNO, Inc. and the Greater New Orleans region, with unprecedented progress for our economy and community. Highlights included:

• DXC Technology – Following an 18-month process, and capping off a decade-long strategic push, DXC Technology announced that it will establish a 2,000-job “Digital Transformation Center” in New Orleans.  This is the single largest economic development job win in Greater New Orleans and Louisiana history; the effort was co-led by GNO, Inc. along with LED and local partners
• British Airways – History was also made in March, when British Airways lifted off from MSY and flew direct to London Heathrow, marking the first non-stop flight to Europe since 1982.  GNO, Inc. co-led the team that landed this flight, and other new international service, including Copa (Panama) and Condor (Germany)
• National Flood Insurance – GNO, Inc. leads the national Coalition for Sustainable Flood Insurance, which has pushed NFIP to the verge of a multi-year reauthorization and reform package that will protect coastal Louisiana and all of America
• Best in America – To cap off the year, GNO, Inc. was named one of the “Top Economic Development Organizations in the USA” (one of 11 of 25,00) by Site Selection magazine
