GNO, Inc. to Host ‘WorkNola Talent Den’ During 2021 New Orleans Entrepreneur Week

GNO, Inc. has partnered with The Idea Village to present the WorkNola Talent Den during this year’s NOEW.  The goal of the WorkNola Talent Den is to position the 2021 NOEW as a virtual hub for talent recruitment, and as a forum to connect local job seekers with tech and innovation career opportunities in the Greater New Orleans region.

“We are thrilled to partner with The Idea Village to present the WorkNola Talent Den at the 2021 NOEW, bringing job seekers and local companies together in an authentic fashion.  As we continue to prepare for the post-COVID economy, we must double down on our investment in the region’s entrepreneur ecosystem,” said President and CEO Michael Hecht of Greater New Orleans, Inc. “Furthermore, I commend The Idea Village and the presenting sponsors for their creativity and commitment during this unusual time.”

Happening March 22-26, NOEW will feature the WorkNola Talent Den each day at 3:30 – 4:30 PM, allowing NOEW participants to meet local companies with imminent hiring plans.  For over a decade, NOEW has been the premier event celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit of Greater New Orleans, showcasing emerging trends and innovations, and strengthening New Orleans’ ties to the global entrepreneur and business community.  In addition to the WorkNola Talent Den, NOEW will feature keynote talks, pitch competitions, workshops, networking events, and panel discussions that support innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in the region.  Those interested in participating in the WorkNola Talent Den and other NOEW sessions can register at www.noew.org.

The WorkNola Talent Den will feature virtual recruitment booths, spotlight sessions, and one-on-one appointments with hiring managers from local companies such as: Resilia, Lucid, KeyString Labs, Ochsner Health, GeistM, iSeatz, Revelry, and Lookfar. As well as organizations helping to build a more equitable future of tech like: NOLAVATE Black, Operation Spark, Microsoft TEALS, and Upriver Solutions.

“Alumni of The Idea Village have created over 3,000 local jobs as part of an emerging tech industry that represents over 16,000 jobs.  The Idea Village in partnership with GNO, inc is excited to share the depth a breadth of these local opportunities by facilitating connections between talent and recruiters from our local tech industry as part of the WorkNola Talent Den taking place each afternoon at NOEW,” said Jon Atkinson, CEO of The Idea Village. “We know that the connections made at NOEW in-person lead to opportunities.  We are excited to be even more deliberate about taking that experience online.  We encourage candidates of all roles and experience levels to attend and connect.”

This year’s slate of virtual events will feature a focus on the themes of community resilience, future-proofing New Orleans, creating equitable systems, New Orleans’ cultural and entrepreneurial landscape, and the region’s startup community, among others.  All NOEW virtual events are free to join, and tickets can be accessed at www.NOEW.org.
