GNO Inc. to lead business mission to London in June
The New Orleans Advocate | 3/22/2016
With transatlantic service returning to New Orleans’ airport next week for the first time in decades, local business leaders and state officials have scheduled a business mission in London in June to explore ties to south Louisiana.
The summit, slated for June 3-7, is being organized by Greater New Orleans Inc., a regional economic development group.
The initiative, dubbed “London Calling,” is intended to celebrate British Airways’ new nonstop flight, improve understanding of London and the United Kingdom’s post-Brexit economic landscape and explore potential opportunities for Louisiana businesses.
The state delegation will include about 80 corporate executives, elected officials and community leaders from a range of industries, GNO Inc. said Wednesday. While in London, the group will hear from local experts and corporate and government groups from various sectors, including digital and tech, energy, tourism, hospitality and advanced manufacturing.
Registration for the program is $4,000, which includes round-trip airfare, three nights of lodging at the summit hotel and program activities, including dining, ground travel and special events.
GNO Inc. is also offering sponsorship levels for the trip that include registration for at least one person, starting at $10,000, which also includes a full-page ad in the program’s agenda as well as other other promotional opportunities.
Fees are refundable until April 28. The registration deadline is May 15. For information, contact GNO Inc.’s Rachel Shields at firstname.lastname@example.org.
