Vol. 31: A monumental year for Greater New Orleans


2011 was a remarkable year for Greater New Orleans, capped by being named the fastest improving economy in the United States by The Wall Street Journal. Real results on the ground, with global companies like Gameloft and Bradken choosing Greater New Orleans for major expansions, were complemented by unprecedented recognition, including GNO, Inc. being named one of the top twenty economic development agencies in thecountry.

Policy successes like the reinstatement of the Angel Investor Tax Credit continued to improve the business climate of Louisiana – now at its highest point ever in every major ranking – and the community once again proved its ability to meet a challenge, successfully rallying tokeep the Hornets local.

With a pipeline replete with global prospects, a rapidly improving brand, and unmatched leadership at all levels, GNO, Inc. expects 2012 to be a landmark year for our region.
