Today, Greater New Orleans, Inc. applauded the introduction of bipartisan legislation in the Senate to delay dramatic flood insurance premium increases. The legislation will delay premium increases for four years, giving FEMA enough time to complete the Congressionally mandated affordability study and allow Congress to consider the study’s recommendations. Companion legislation is expected to be introduced in the House shortly.

NEW ORLEANS, La. — Today, Gov. Bobby Jindal and ChenMed CEO Christopher Chen, M.D., announced the expansion of the company’s ChenTech subsidiary and the establishment of a new software development center in the Central Business District of New Orleans. ChenTech will create 50 new direct jobs at the software development center, with an average salary of $83,000 per year, plus benefits.
