5th Annual Technology eWARDS Banquet

The Louisiana Technology Council and GNO, Inc. invite all businesses, educators and users of technology in the Greater New Orleans region to attend the 5th Annual Technology eWARDS Banquet. This year’s keynote speaker is Stephen Moret, Secretary, Louisiana Economic Development.
Outstanding Leadership in Technology
Individual who has advanced the technology sector in the Greater New Orleans region; must have committed time or resources to benefit technology businesses in the region or must have made a major personal contribution toward advancing policies and/or legislation supporting the growth of the technology industry in the region and/or State.
Technology Educator of the Year
Must be a teacher or instructor in K-12 public or private school, higher educational institution, technical school or training company; must be an outstanding example of “Information Age Educator” using current technologies to educate, motivate and inspire students to develop careers in technology fields.
Growth Company/Organization of the Year
Must demonstrate a significant rate of growth over the past year. Growth rate may be demonstrated in revenue, products and services sold, and/or number of employees.
New Technology Product of the Year
New product must (1) have major impact in significant markets, (2) have strong potential for sales growth beyond the region, and/or (3) have potential to be a “transforming technology” for future innovation.
Best Application of Technology
Company, educational, scientific, charitable institution, government agency or authority or individual that has creatively applied technology in a manner that results in a meaningful developmental improvement in the areas of process, practice, service and/or support for the betterment of the region and industry.
“Cool Tech” Award
This new category is a “catch all” category. Applications for this award should be based on a technology product or service that can be considered unusual or “cool”; is unique in some way with the ability to possibly distinguish our region from others; can possibly help the region economically in the near future and/or can help the Greater New Orleans Region emerge as a technology center for Louisiana. The “Cool” Tech Award can be any technology implemented in any industry.
