Economic Development and Real Estate Outlook Conference
On Wednesday October 28, 2009, the Institute for Economic Development and Real Estate Research of the University of New Orleans is hosting its second annual Northshore Economic Development and Real Estate Outlook conference. The conference is being held at the Greater Covington Center in Covington, LA, starting at 8AM and ending by 12:30PM. This year’s keynote speaker is the Hon. Stephen Moret, Secretary, Louisiana Department of Economic Development. The conference will also feature a panel of bankers addressing the opportunities and challenges confronting commercial lending in the region and real estate professionals with experience in developing, managing and brokering residential, retail, office and industrial properties. The Real Estate Commission has approved 4 hours of CE credit for those who attend the conference. Contractors and CPAs may also receive CE credit. The conference typically attracts a broad cross section of the business community as well as local economic development professionals and elected officials. The registration fee is $50.00 before October 23, 2009 and $70.00 after that date and at the door.
